Home Remedies for Acne

Breaking out in acne is a way of life for many people. Most of us have sought out various products and processes in an attempt to clear up or get rid of acne with astringents, lotions, cleansers, spot treatments, moisturizing more, moisturizing less, changing our diet, cleansing every night, special facial masks, clay treatments. Some have an effect, others just can’t seem to clear up and the blemishes appear continually. Buying all these products can deplete your finances whether they’re effective or not. But there are a lot of ingredients that you have on hand or in your cupboard that can be used in home remedies for pennies instead of dollars. Here are some home remedies for acne that work pretty well.
-If you have toothpaste on hand, use 1 or 2 days before results are wanted. Dab onto spots; let dry, then rinse.
-You can also make a bowl of oatmeal. Let cool to warm, then apply to face. Leave on up to a half hour then rinse with warm water.
-You can also apply a face mask using multiple kitchen ingredients. Take 3 tsp honey, 1.5 tsp olive oil, 1 tsp salt, and a half tsp baking soda. Mix and apply; let sit for 5 minutes. Wash off with cool or cold water.
-If you have tea tree oil on hand you can also apply. Apply to affected areas and that’s it!
-Mix cinnamon and honey and apply to spots. Leave overnight and wash with warm water in the morning.
-Another thing you can do is mix rose water and fresh lime juice and apply. Wash off after 20 minutes.
-Squeeze tomatoes so that you get the pulp. Take the pulp and spread evenly over face. When dry, wash gently off.
-Grind some organic orange peels and mix with water. Apply to face and rinse.
